About

Shiatsu massage is a technique that combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with Japanese manual therapy — its name in Japanese means "finger pressure". Applied without oil, with you clothed and on a mat.

The session opens with the therapist briefly listening to your pulse and breath. This assessment determines which meridian lines to focus on. Pressure is applied at the pace of one or two breaths per minute, in a steady and gently "holding" rhythm.

Because it is oil-free and clothed, it can be a practical choice in the middle of a workday or during travel. Suitable for frequent headache sufferers, guests with sleep issues, and those who value energy-flow work.
